Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Graduate Admission Counselor.
The candidate would be expected to: serve as a representative of the University to recruit prospective graduate students; primary function of the position is to promote the institution and Graduate Studies; coordinate recruitment efforts with faculty program directors; work collaboratively with program directors to assist students throughout the process, troubleshoot, and meet enrollment targets; work with the Associate Vice President of Undergraduate and Graduate Admission, graduate marketing specialist, and program directors to help develop, evaluate, execute, and track program-specific marketing and recruitment initiatives.

This is an in-person, on-campus; non-remote position.

Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately, Basic Knowledge of MS Word 2016, Basic Knowledge of MS Excel 2016

Other Requirements:
- A valid driver's license in your state of residence and have had no serious violations (Type A) within the past five (5) years and no more than three (3) moving violations (Type B) in the past three (3) years. University Policy found here:Monmouth University Vehicle Use Policy.
- Must have a keen orientation to goal achievement, strong organizational and communication skills, capability to work in a fast-paced environment, high energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
- Ability to plan, organize and set priorities.
- Must be able to function independently and work in collaboration with program directors to achieve enrollment targets.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people, including prospective students, faculty, administrators and outside community members.
- Must be willing to work evening hours and weekends, and travel in and out of state for recruitment purposes. Willingness and ability to travel/recruit throughout New Jersey and the surrounding tri-state area.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or graduate-level coursework. Recruiting/sales background, work experience in an admission office as a full-time employee, and/or corporate or education work experience is preferred.
