The Augusta University School of Public Health was established in 2023 to address Georgia's distinct public health challenges through exceptional education, innovative research, and collaborative community engagement. We are leveraging the strengths of Georgia's only public academic medical center, combining public health expertise with clinical knowledge to train future public health leaders. Our school is comprised of three academic departments: Biostatistics, Epidemiology & Data Science, Community & Behavioral Health Sciences, and Health Management, Economics & Policy. We offer a variety of degree programs, from specialized master's options to doctoral programs that create the next generation of public health researchers. Our research mission is critical to our long-term impact; we strongly emphasize scholarly productivity through peer-reviewed publications, scientific presentations, and grant-funded projects. Job Summary

This position plays a vital role in fulfilling the proposed School of Public Health's mission, vision, and goals. This role requires a dynamic individual who can handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while engaging with multiple constituencies. The individual hired for this position will lead the school processes for data collection and management related to CEPH and SACSCOC (SACS) accreditation of SPH and provide support and recommendation to the Dean and Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs. Excellent communication skills, great attention to details, able to review, understand and implement complex accreditation and assessment requirements, a positive attitude, flexibility, strong capacity to constructively manage conflict, adjust to change, and address challenges, and a passion for public health for this role.


The duties include but are not limited to:

Accreditation: Under the leadership and guidance of the Assoc. Dean for Academic and Student Affairs (ADASA), oversees all SPH accreditation activities, including but not limited to:
  • Prepare materials required from the SPH for CEPH and SACS accreditation.
  • Collect data, documents, and materials for CEPH self-study of SPH.
  • When needed, prepare interim report to CEPH for SPH programs, including the MPH and 6 other academic public health programs.
  • Prepare annual report to outside accreditors and internal units for accredited programs.
  • Collect and catalog accreditation documentation on an on-going basis.
  • Provide guidance regarding self-study documents and logistics for CEPH site visits.
  • Prepare and submit substantive change reports to CEPH, as needed.
  • Receive ongoing training via CEPH webinars and workshops and report CEPH updates to ADASA.
  • Review course competency/assessment linkages to program and school level accreditation.
  • Serve and support school and university level committees related to assessment, accreditation, and data quality.

  • Design and management of course and student data for assessment reporting purposes.
  • Coordinate with administration, staff, and faculty to gather data needed for program assessment and reporting.
  • Lead and manage school and program level assessment-related projects such as periodic program revision of the programs in the school.
  • In coordination with program directors, prepare and/or submit annual assessment data, plans and SLO reports.
  • Develop, coordinate and direct program-specific assessment processes and plans that promote ongoing compliance with accreditation and other issues related to quality assurance and improvement.
  • Design and collect data for the following surveys: exit, alumni, and employer satisfaction. Provide required College-level data for reporting needs as identified by the school leadership. Submit college level data for annual surveys.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree and experience in project management.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in an academic environment and working on academic assessment and accreditation

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Comprehension of guidelines and policies.


Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with excellent attention to details and follow-through while managing multiple tasks. Excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, critical reading, problem solving, project management, and diplomacy skills are required.


Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to be highly self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to handle a heavy workload, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work both independently and as part of a team. Must take initiative and collaborate effectively with various internal and external constituents. Must support the leadership, solve complex/non-routine problems, may suggest policy/procedure changes, and proactively address future problems. Must promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team-oriented work environment. Ability to summarize and synthesize guidelines and polices, lucid writing.


Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)

Salary: $51,967-$70,155.45 annually.

Pay Grade: 19

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
