Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Transfer Admission provides oversight and management for the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of undergraduate transfer students to the Hilltop and/or branch campuses. This position will also support office-wide undergraduate recruitment, transfer application generation, and the enrollment efforts of a talented and diverse transfer class that meets institutional enrollment goals. In recognition of the University's commitment to the transfer student population and pathways, this position will report to the Director of Transfer Admission and will help support the management and development of a data-driven and mission-focused plan to support domestic and international transfer student outreach and engagement. Additionally, a key function of the Assistant Director of Transfer Admission is supporting the Director in developing strategy and related management of the outreach, recruitment, and selection process for the Bachelor of Arts in Management (BAM) degree completion program. This position will regularly consult with School of Management leadership to ensure that the outreach and engagement activities of this position are in alignment with BAM enrollment goals.
The Assistant Director of Transfer Admission is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating activities related to transfer recruitment, multicultural recruitment, community college counselor relations and events, and campus events and programming. In addition to participating in a full complement of admission recruitment and evaluation activities for transfer and first-year students, this position serves as a resource to SEM staff on transfer nursing admission requirements, veteran recruitment best practices, and BAM policies.

Job Responsibilities:
In consultation with the Director of Transfer Admission and AVP, help construct and implement a comprehensive and data-driven travel schedule that incorporates community college visits, transfer fairs, counselor relationships, CBOs, yield activities, and partnerships with alumni and parents.
Identifies admission activities and strategies for developing and enhancing prospective transfer student markets whether that be recruitment travel for community colleges, events for counselors, programming for multicultural students, or recruitment of alumni/parent volunteers.
Working with the Associate Dean of the School of Management and the Director of Transfer Initiatives in the Provost's Office, assists to coordinate and oversee the recruitment policies and procedures for the Bachelor of Arts in Management degree completion program.
In consultation with the Director, helps support the questions, issues, communication, and programming related to key strategic populations including transfer nursing students (Hilltop and Sacramento campus), Veteran students, and adult learners.
Establishes and maintains admission standards, requirements, protocols, policies, and procedures for enrollment, in collaboration with SEM leadership and schools and colleges.
Provides regular feedback in the development and execution of marketing and outreach for the BAM program including publications, electronic communication, social media and associated functions/events.
Represents the University in a variety of settings both on-campus and throughout the country.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with appropriate counselors, administrative, and teacher contacts at community colleges and high schools.
Counsel prospective students and families about admission, transfer credit, financial aid, academic programs, and student life at USF.
Supports the development of innovative transfer student event programming including but not limited to virtual events, workshops, meet and greets, and transfer student panels.
Selects, schedules, and coordinates high school, community college, and college fair visits to recruit prospective students.
Reviews first year and transfer admission files, determines eligibility, decides which applicants are qualified for admission to USF and makes admission decisions.
Utilizes data service and market analysis tools to plan recruitment and yield strategy.
Contributes to the yearly planning and evaluation of recruitment and admission programs.
Assists in management of visit and other special event programs for prospective and admitted students that effectively increase matriculation and ensure safe and informative experiences for students and their families.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
3-5 years of demonstrated experience in undergraduate admission; transfer admission preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present information in various formats to effectively communicate cross-generationally with a variety of persons and audiences.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, establish priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and follow through and meet deadlines.
Ability to think innovatively, creatively, strategically and collaboratively; effectively manages programs and facilitates thoughtful and insightful problem resolution.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, establishing, building and retaining cooperative and collaborative working relationships while performing responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, diverse, and team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Advanced computer/technical proficiency.
Ability to travel (estimated 25-30% of time) to various locations to build/maintain partnerships, attend gatherings, events, and activities related to the responsibilities of the position.
Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.

Experience with Slate CRM is a plus.
