About the Position:
The Coordinator will be the initial point of contact and administrative support for the BBA Admission team in the Edwin L. Cox School of Business. They will respond to and triage customer issues, support admission events and programming, and collaborate with the BBA Admission team in doing so. This position is essential in providing front line customer service to prospective students and families.
Essential Functions:

Office Admin Mgmt: Serve as the initial face of Cox undergraduate programs by addressing visitors' needs, directing to appropriate contact or answering questions. Manage BBA general inbox and phone line. Manage walk-in traffic, resolving as many issues as possible in the moment.

Admissions Operations: Support data entry and campus visits through administrative and clerical roles. Manage logistics for mailings and other outreach to prospective students. Support the Director and Associate Director of BBA Admission with other operational/logistical tasks as needed.

Event Management: Collaborate with BBA Admission team to plan and execute on-campus and in-person events with focus on operational and administrative tasks. Prepare materials, manage registration, and troubleshoot as needed.

Cross-Office Administrative Mgmt: Collaborate with other operational partners within Cox who co-manage spacing and logistics, as well as operational partners across SMU (IT, building services, and parking/transportation).

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's preferred.
A minimum of two years of work experience in environments where organization, details, verbal and written communication, and customer service were key to success is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, alumni, staff, faculty, and prospective students. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. A strong customer service orientation.
Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning, and time management skills. A strong focus on attention to detail is essential.
Candidate must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Word and Excel). Experience with Peoplesoft and/or CRM systems (e.g. Slate) is preferred.
